About me

Like many voice talents, my route into the world of VO was not a direct one. Back in 2009, I was giving a lift to some actor friends to a studio where they were recording reels intended for the production company's roster. The producer heard my voice, liked it and suggested I make a demo too. I was hesitant at first, "But I'm a bass player!" However, finding myself in a studio, an environment I was already familiar with, and behind a microphone, I quickly realised how much fun was to be had. In short, I was hooked.

At home

I'm a British VO and bass-player based in Berlin. Clients describe my signature style, both on and off-mic, as warm and approachable - your neighbour with a family and a busy life, 9 (no… make that 10) bass guitars… oh, and a dog if my youngest gets her way.

I made the move to have my own professional recording booth installed back in 2018. It seemed the right time to expand the services I could offer clients, plus allowed me more time to be around my two growing daughters Marian and Ellen. I really enjoy the flexibility it affords me (and I can get five minutes peace whenever I need it.) Little did I know just how useful the booth would become in 2020.

We live in a leafy suburb on the edge of the city. From here, I can be in town at one of Berlin's studio's within half an hour or stay home for self-directed or remote studio sessions. I love the fact that I can be playing with the girls at our local nature reserve or recording an e-learning project inside of an hour.
